Thesis Title: 'The Power of Naming'; Co-option in Fine Art Practice.
About
My research involves a interdisciplinary engagement with the theoretical and practical concerns of criminology and fine art.
The forensic eye is at home figuring out an artwork as it is examining a crime scene. In both cases a reliance on logical anaysis gives way to 'an ambiguous space' (Turvey 1999) in which the dynamic nature of sequential events is emphasised and rigid thinking seen as over restrictive and counter productive.
